Mitglied der Guild of Picture Editors und der Royal Photographic Society, ist sein neuestes Projekt ein Kunstbuch mit Bildern der Polarregionen, mit bevorstehenden Ausstellungen und Vorträgen in Frankreich, Großbritannien und den USA.
Ian ist Mitglied des Alpine Club und des Explorers Club. Seine Liebe zu kalten Orten führt ihn zum Bergsteigen auf der ganzen Welt. Als Freiwilliger bei der Scottish Mountain Rescue seit über zweiundzwanzig Jahren wurde er für seine Arbeit in diesem Bereich anerkannt und erhielt die Diamant- und Platin-Jubiläumsmedaillen von Ihrer Majestät Königin Elisabeth.
Wenn er nicht seine Liebe zu wilden Orten teilt, lebt er im Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in Schottland.
Midnight Sun is the new photography book by award-winning polar specialists Sue Flood and Ian Dawson.
The book was launched at an exclusive evening at the Royal Geographical Society on 6th October in conversation with Sir Michael Palin. Sharing stories behind Midnight Sun and their years photographing the polar regions.
