In September, I have the honour of speaking at the inaugural Summit Photo conference at the Royal Geographical Society, London, along with Sue Flood. A gathering of image-makers and environmental storytellers from across the world. To share the stage with such a diverse collection of international photographers, conservationists, and climate communicators is a rare privilege.
The Royal Geographical Society has played a central role in the history of exploration, geography, and scientific research for over 190 years. Based in London, it houses one of the world’s great collections of maps, field notes, and expedition photography. Today, it continues to serve as a hub for conversations about how we engage with the planet—its landscapes, peoples, and future.

This new summit brings together professionals working at the intersection of climate, conservation, and visual storytelling. The focus is on how photography can be used not only to document change, but to inspire action and policy. I’ll be drawing on my experiences from the polar regions and beyond, sharing work and reflections from the frontlines of environmental transformation.
More details about the programme and speakers will be released in the coming weeks. I’m looking forward to the exchange of ideas and the chance to connect with others working in this urgent space.
If you’re in London in September, I hope you’ll join us.
