Midnight Sun is the new photography book by award-winning polar specialists Sue Flood and Ian Dawson.
To mark the book's launch, join Sue Flood OBE and Ian Dawson for an exclusive preview evening at the Royal Geographical Society on 6th October at 6.30pm, as they take to the stage in conversation with Sir Michael Palin to share the stories behind Midnight Sun and their years photographing the polar regions.

Le photographe Ian Dawson a une passion pour les régions les plus reculées de notre planète. Diplômé des Beaux-Arts, il a mené sa carrière dans les médias internationaux, en tant que photojournaliste, monteur photo et cinéaste.
Au cours d'une carrière variée, il a couvert tout, des conflits aux voyages, en passant par les célébrités, la famille royale et la faune, pour la BBC, le Sunday Times, Vogue et de nombreuses autres publications.
Il se nourrit désormais d'un amour des endroits froids et exaltants, d'un dévouement à la photographie avec un esprit aventureux -
documenter les personnes, la faune et les paysages dans un monde en évolution rapide.
Photographe de presse primé, son travail photographique est représenté par Getty Images. En 2021, Ian a été invité à devenir Ambassadeur Photo de Ponant en Arctique et en Antarctique.
Membre de la Guild of Picture Editors et de la Royal Photographic Society, son dernier projet est un livre d'art d'images polaires avec des expositions et des conférences à venir en France, au Royaume-Uni et aux États-Unis.
Ian est membre du Club Alpin et du Club des Explorateurs. Son amour des endroits froids l’amène à parcourir le monde en alpinisme. Bénévole auprès de Scottish Mountain Rescue depuis plus de vingt-deux ans, il a été reconnu pour son travail dans ce domaine et a reçu les médailles du jubilé de diamant et de platine de Sa Majesté la reine Elizabeth.
Lorsqu'il ne partage pas son amour des endroits sauvages, il vit dans le parc national du Loch Lomond et des Trossachs, en Écosse.
